It is my distinct pleasure to heartily endorse Kristin Tescher, owner and operator of Sound Haven Support. I was very fortunate to work with Kristin for over five years in residential dual diagnosis programs, first at McClean Hospital, where I was a staff nurse and then later at Borden Cottage where I was the Head Nurse.
During that time, I had the honor of watching Kristin develop, implement and evolve her curriculum of groups for the residents. It was such a pleasure to watch Kristin launch those programs and see the residents (and other staff!) respond so deeply to her music, meditations and lovely spirit.
Her groups had a remarkably relaxing and healing effect, where she created a calm, safe space while her ethereal harp music and singing bowls lulled us all into a languid and reflective space. It is so deeply restorative to experience, and I always left feeling refreshed, at ease and with a newly kindled sense of hope and rightness in the world.
Kristin was a much sought-out staff member as the residents loved to talk with her about her music, how enriching they found her groups, and how soothing her presence was for them. Kristin is a long-time harpist, musician and caregiver, in this chapter of her life I am so happy to be able to endorse her as a sound healer. I cannot recommend Sound Haven Support heartily enough, both personally and professionally. Many patients would deeply benefit from what Kristin has to offer, and it will enrich their healing process.
