About the Founder

Sound Haven Support was founded by Kristin Tescher in 2023 and rests on the belief that music can have a powerful and positive influence in wellness and recovery settings. 

Kristin is a certified sound healer, Reiki practitioner, and educator with a Master's in Education from Johnson State College in Vermont and over 35 years of experience in mental health and disability support. A guitarist and harpist for over 35 years, she has performed in folk groups such as Any Monday and Ladies of the Lake, and pioneered the Music in Recovery curriculum at a private rehab facility. Currently studying with Harps for Healing to advance her clinical music training, Kristin blends decades of caregiving entrepreneurship (Oasis Home Care, Little Wings Daycare) with live residential wellness music to create deeply therapeutic, trauma-informed soundscapes.
